Domingo Alaba John Obende (born 5 December 1954) is a Nigerian businessman who was elected Senator for Edo North, in Edo State, Nigeria, in the 9 April 2011 elections. He ran on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.〔 ==Background== Domingo Alaba Obende was born in Igarra in the Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State Nigeria on 5 December 1954. He obtained a Bachelor of Public Administration degree from the University of Benin, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Management and an MBA in Public Services from the University of East London in the United Kingdom. Official positions include an appointment as Justice of the peace by the Edo state government, Chairman of the Nigeria-Serbia Chamber of Commerce and President of the Institute of Corporate Affairs Management Nigeria.
